DATUMKEEP
FAQ

Questions, answered.

Including the ones with an awkward answer. Where something is not built yet, not certified yet, or not ours to promise, it says so — you will find that out anyway, and better here than in a security review.

The product

What it is, what is live, and who runs it
  • All three, on one core. Root cause analysis, CAPA and 8D, statistical process control, incidents and monitoring, and the knowledge base are modules over a single Problem → Cause → Solution store. That is the point: an SPC excursion can open an investigation that inherits its evidence, and the investigation's conclusion becomes knowledge the next investigation retrieves. Buying them separately is what leaves you with five tools that don't talk to each other.

Trusting the AI

Where it acts, where it refuses, and who signs off
  • No. It drafts and proposes; your engineer confirms. Nothing enters the knowledge base without a person accepting it, and every proposed step cites the record it was drawn from. A quality gate scores the analysis across six dimensions and will not let a report through below the evidence floor.

Data & security

Isolation, residency, training and access
  • Multi-tenant by construction, with Row-Level Security enforced at the data layer. Every connection sets a transaction-local tenant identifier before it can read anything, and the policies are enforced by the database rather than by application code that could forget one. Your company-private knowledge is never blended into another tenant's, and never used to train anyone's model. It is processed by our AI providers under a no-training commitment, and by no one else.

Statistics

Control charts, capability and measurement trust
  • Real SPC. All eight Nelson rules are evaluated on every chart, control limits and specification limits are drawn differently and never confused with each other, and limits are not drawn at all when the baseline is not established. Not established is not the same as zero, and the chart says which one it is.

Rollout

History, integrations, onboarding and language
  • No. During onboarding we ingest what your organization already holds — past reports, resolved cases, documented fixes — so your very first analysis builds on your own experience rather than a blank slate. A curated industry foundation can supplement it, but your organization's proven experience always takes precedence — value from analysis one, compounding return.

Commercial

Pricing and trials
  • Pricing follows usage and integration depth, so we quote it rather than list it — what drives the number is how many analyses you run, how much history you bring in, and how deeply you integrate with your existing systems. Evaluation happens as a guided pilot of about a month, with a capped number of analyses, so you can judge the output on your own failures before committing — there is no self-serve sign-up. Tell us your scope on a 30-minute call and we will give you a real number.

Not here? Ask us directly — a vendor questionnaire, a security review, or a question about your own failure data. Get in touch → Or take the product tour and judge the answers for yourself.

See it on your own failures.

Bring a deviation you already understand to a 30-minute demo. It is the fastest way to judge whether the output is worth trusting.
